Wokingham Borough Council is improving its Short Breaks service for children with additional needs by introducing more activities, greater flexibility, and new providers offering after-school, weekend, and holiday support. Families will initially continue accessing services through the Short Break Team, but over time many may be able to contact providers directly with less paperwork. The changes will roll out gradually, with the aim of improving choice, reducing delays, and providing better support for families.
