SEND Voices Wokingham is the Department for Education (DfE) recognised parent carer forum for the Wokingham Borough. We are a charity dedicated to ensuring that families of children with disabilities and additional needs canfully participate in shaping and developing services within Wokingham Borough.
We are excited to offer a new opportunity for 2 PINS Engagement Officers to join our team and play a crucial role in the Partnerships forInclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) Project. This national initiative, funded by the Department of Education in collaboration with NHS England and the Department for Health and Social Care, aims to improve outcomes for neurodivergent children and young people which includes fostering stronger relationships between families, schools, and support services.

Hours | 12 hours/week term-time only working, agreed in negotiation. Fixed term until March 2026 with the possibility of extension (funding permitting). |

As one of 2 PINS Engagement Officers,you will lead engagement efforts with families in 30 primary school settings selected for this project. You'll work closely with parents and carers, school leadership teams, and partner organisations to listen to families', support coproduction and collaboration in schools over the issues that are important to families. There will be 1 engagement session with each school every term for 3 terms.
Additional Role details
Due to the nature of the PINS project, this role will include organising and attending parent carer groups in schools to coincide with the start or end of the school day. The administrative side of this role is more flexible, to suit parent carers' commitments and responsibilities. There will also be the requirement to host some evening online sessions for working families who cannot attend the in-person day-time sessions.
